Ruins of Caisteal Maol, Kyleakin, Isle of Skye, Scotland
Parts of Caisteal Maol, or Castle Moil, are believed to date from before the 10th century. More recent parts of the ruins date from the 15th century. The castle has been rebuilt frequently. Folklore has it that there used to be a chain stretching under the water to stop ships and exact a toll.
