5 stars -- worth buying if you need instructions for Irish dances
This is the standard Irish céilí dance book. It has instructions for 30 different common dances. These dances are the ones you are most likely to see at a céilí. These dances were collected by An Coimisi&uacte;n. The dances wete "standardized". There are regional variations of many of these dances which are not included in this book. This book does not have detailed descriptions of steps (3's and 7's), so you will have to pick that up somewhere else. It does have sufficient notes to help you through 3's and 7's if you have seen them before. All in all, it is worth getting if you need instructions for Irish dances.
