Walking
The kids have started taking steps all by themselves! On Tuesday last week we had a company dinner. The kids were wired when they came home, and Owen took two steps all by himself with no support. The next day, Andrew started taking steps. Now, they both take steps at least once a day.
Rumor has it that we have a week or two from the first steps to full-out walking (or running, knowing our kids).
Both kids have expressed musical preferences already. I pulled out my bodhran (Irish drum) and started playing it. Both kids wanted to see what I was doing, so I let Andrew have the drum stick. He started chewing on it, so I gave it to Owen instead. Owen didn’t chew on it at all–instead, he started swinging it around. I held the drum out for him, and he started playing a nice even rhythm. He has since repeated this same thing several times.
I put the drum away and pulled out my flute. Owen was not interested at all, but Andrew came over and sat right in front of me, watching what I was doing. He was fascinated with the flute.
Anyway, I’m sure everyone is eager to see new pictures, so here you go.

New site
I have switched our blog over to a new setup. This should allow both Nancy and I to put new material up. As well, it should be much easier to put new stuff up, including photos.
The original posts will stay where they are, but any new material is going to be here.
And yes, we will try to get some new photos up in the next few days. We have a bit of a backlog
